Urge iRacing to add Austin Green in NASCAR 26.
The Issue
I have been in Austin Green fan since 2025, following his impressive second career finish at the Charlotte Roval, after learning about him the year before in 2024, when he finished 4th at Sonoma in his third career O'Reilly start. I was really excited seeing him in NASCAR 25 last year in o'reilly, in the No. 87 Overplay Chevy for Jordan Anderson racing, and I thought he would also be in NASCAR 26 when they announced the game, hoping to see him the No. 87 in the O'Reilly series once again, with Peterson racing this time. But I was disappointed when I found out he would not be in the game, when the driver roster was released othe week before the game came out. As it now has been a month since the game came out, I decided to start this petition, with the hope that iRacing considers adding Green to NASCAR 26 in the truck series after leaving him out in O'Reilly.
Green made waves in the NASCAR world in his two seasons racing part-time in the O'Reilly Auto Parts series on the road courses, driving the No. 32, and 87 Chevrolet with Jordan Anderson Racing, before running full-time O'Reilly in 2026, driving the No. 87 for Peterson Racing, but would be taken out of the 87 after nashville, and later on being released from the team after Charlotte. Following his impressive performance at Talladega in his Craftsman Truck series debut on October 23rd, where he started 6th and finished 3rd, driving the No. 77 Gunk Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports, it seems only fitting that his presence be cemented in the game finally after not being added.
iRacing has consistently been a platform that celebrates talent and fosters the growth of racing legends. Including Austin Green in the NASCAR 26 game's lineup would be a testament to iRacing's commitment to authenticity and fan engagement. Austin represents the dedication and passion that NASCAR embodies. His inclusion in the game would not only bring excitement after originally not being listed as one of the driver in O'Reilly roster, but joy to see him in his second appearance in a NASCAR game after his first appearance in NASCAR 25.
In the NASCAR 26 Truck Series roster for the Spire Motorsports 77 truck, they have added 4 different drivers who have driven the 77 throughout the 2026 season. Which include former IndyCar driver turned commentator James Hinchcliffe, Cup Series star Carson Hocevar, defending O'Reilly Auto Parts Series champion Jesse Love, and Trackhouse racing team owner Justin Marks. Adding green to the game will mark five different drivers who have driven the 77 throughout the 2026 truck series season for Spire Motorsports, before Kasey Kahne steps into that truck full time for 2027.
We acknowledge that game development involves multiple considerations, and teams submitting schemes. However, this decision would resonate positively with the community and reflect iRacing’s dedication to providing a comprehensive and an accurate racing experience. We propose that iRacing add Austin Green as a downloadable content option, which could bridge the gap between fans' expectations and the current in-game roster.
Please consider this request to bring back a driver who not only deserves a spot in the NASCAR 26 roster as a playable driver, but also show how much people are fans of Green. Let's give fans the ability to play as Austin Green like they did in NASCAR 25. By signing this petition, you are helping showing that Austin Green deserves to be in this game even after not being included originally. As him being left out after appearing in NASCAR 25 was a big mistake. Having him added to the game in the truck series in the Spire 77 will be absolutely awesome for any Austin Green fan.
Austin Green is to good that he should have been in NASCAR 26. Even though his full-time deal with Peterson did not do well in o'reilly, he deserves a second chance at being in the game in the truck series with how good his truck debut was as mentioned
