Update: A Year and a Half Later, We Still Do Not Know Where Abdulrahman Is

Sadly, the situation has only become more alarming.

A year and a half has passed, and there is still no confirmed information about Abdulrahman Yusuf Al-Qaradawi’s current whereabouts or condition. There has been no communication with his family or lawyers for many months.

This prolonged silence raises serious concerns for his physical and mental wellbeing.

We continue to call on the authorities in the United Arab Emirates to disclose Abdulrahman’s whereabouts, ensure his safety, grant him access to his family and legal counsel, and release him immediately. We also call on the Turkish authorities to do everything in their power to secure his safe return to Türkiye.
