With modern technologies and/or access to the original master data files and/or hand-drawn illustrations, a faithful remaster / special edition of The Curse of Monkey Island would be both feasible and profitable. The game’s beautiful hand-drawn backgrounds and animations - currently stuck in 640x480 res and 12fps - could be brought into the modern age without sacrificing its distinctive charm.

We believe that The Curse of Monkey Island deserves a new life for a new generation. This remaster could introduce a whole new audience to Guybrush Threepwood’s swashbuckling adventures while allowing long-time fans to experience the game in a fresh, modern light.
