We have to hold the members of government and town council that we elect accountable. 
We agree with growth, at a sustainable rate.
We just can’t cram 20000 more vehicles a day on our town roads until they are upgraded. Same with adding 10000 more in population without the proper utility infrastructure. It just can’t handle it. Are we going to be seeing the sign posted in picture above more often??? 
Road construction so far has been great to see, but 5 to 10 years late, and seems like they are just moving the bottlenecks in our town. 
It’s a tough job to forecast the future, but Cochrane has been growing for a number of years, so let’s show the elected council that they have to do better in planning. Can’t just keep building condos and multi family. This is why we suggest a pause on new residential permits. Let the rest of the infrastructure catch up to the population growth.
