As a member of the Roma community, I feel like Roma have been overlooked and excluded for a long time. Our culture is rich and vibrant, yet it often goes unrecognized in mainstream media and digital platforms. One such platform is Apple's emoji list, which currently does not include a Romani flag.

The Roma people are Europe's largest ethnic minority with an estimated population of 10-12 million (Council of Europe). Despite our significant presence, we face widespread discrimination and exclusion from societal representation. The absence of our flag in popular digital communication tools like emojis perpetuates this invisibility.

By including the Romani flag emoji, Apple can take an important step towards acknowledging our community's existence and promoting cultural diversity. It would provide us with a symbol to express our identity proudly on digital platforms.

We urge Apple to recognize the importance of this issue and add the Romani flag to their list of emojis. This small change could make a big difference in promoting inclusivity and respect for all cultures.
