Good morning from Idaho! It looks like our friendly neighborhood groundhog didn't see his shadow, because we're experiencing what may be some of the warmest temperatures we've seen this winter. Regardless of the weather where you are, though, I hope this message finds you healthy and ready to foster positive change for iPhone users in the beautiful world we live in.

Last Saturday, Brandon Butch on YouTube posted an Apple Weekly episode in which he discussed the new splash screen in Apple's App Store in the upcoming iOS 17.4 update that reads: "A safe and TRUSTED place to discover amazing apps and games". However, while this is happening, a fake LastPass application made its way onto the App Store, and it took Apple hours to remove it. This week, in an episode titled "iOS 17.4: The Irony..", we hear a follow-up story about a free movie download application being disguised as a tool to test your vision. This just goes to show that regardless of your location, third-party app stores (human-reviewed or otherwise) are not the only threat to your digital security—-unfortunately, there are always going to be bad actors in the world, even on the App Store.

As a reminder, we currently have 39 supporters. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support; it is crucial that we remain strong and fight for what we believe in. Help me get to at least 50 supporters by sharing on social media, and I will post another update containing Tim Cook's corporate email address.

Edmund Burke once said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." We have no time to be complacent. Let's help make iOS better for everyone!
