
Well, here we go again. Expanding Mayor Gloria Asbestos Farms from Ash Street to Kettner Vine Proposed Billion dollar 30 year lease. Just published that Mayor Gloria efforts to research and communication on the Kettner Site are laughable unfounded non factual never happened. Then what did happen? Who knew what?
Still waiting for a release of the original negotiations on the BackDoor deal arranged by developer Doug Hamm.. What happened? Where are the freedom of information request on this transactions.??
Well look it up April 3 2024 Developer Doug Hamm closes escrow on the dilapidated abandoned 1960 factory. April 4 Mayor announces a 30 year lease with the “laughing” research. Now we see the property is another asbestos farm, BTW we already have one called Ash street.
So how did the deal happen so quickly? Developer close on April 3. Mayor commits on April 4. What happened to Council Consent and public comments? Well this is another developer BackDoor deal tried to bypass any city processes on procurements.
But what the heck! It is only a 30 year lease and a Billion dollar commitment.. So all arranged in one day? Seems like the BackDoor is wide open on Kettner Vine Shelter. Also do we plan to subscribe to 30 years for a 1k person Shelter ? Is this what the City Wants? One Thousand souls stuffed into a dilapidated warehouse?
Then Advocates for Homeless surface solid experience that Large environments for those needing help will not accept and will not get the help they need. Smaller environments spread across the City is the recommendation.
Agree, or not look at the City of Spokane. Look it up. They tried the mega shelter approach and went broke in 2 years.
Ran out of money in the millions and closed it down, Still have the same problems minus millions of city funds.
Mega shelters don’t work. That’s the science.. Look it up..
