I am calling on everyone to sign this petition to show their unwaivering support for trans women.

I am a 24 year old trans guy. I have lived with the weight of others shame for far too long having grown up in an environment where gender divergence was relegated to the shadows of society, but I don't want to be a shadow any longer. There is more love and joy in the heart of trans people than one could ever hope to imagine; as I have grown I have surrounded myself with the queerest individuals that I can find and found unquantifiable sunshine in their smiles and laughs.

These smiles and laughs are in open defiance of unending mounting pressures, in the face of seeing our trans siblings lose their lives, and seeing our sunshine family stripped of every semblance of dignity. I am tired of seeing it. Imagine living every day in a limbo unsure on whether somebody is going to deny you your very fact of existence, seeing your family and friends ridiculed and questioned, and your very history being erased. We are all human and we all deserve to be respected.

Given the recent mistreatment of a black trans women at the hands of the NHS and the proposal to ban trans women from women's wards now is the time to act.

I am pleading with all of my wonderful friends and family and all their friends and family and so on to sign this petition so we can really come out in force to make sure trans women are protected in society.

As the first step towards dignity for trans people in the pursuit of accessing medical care I am calling on the Government to not go ahead with the proposal to ban trans women from women's wards in hospitals.
