I have witnessed firsthand the struggles of my loved ones, family, and friends as they grappled with accessing proper healthcare. Some of them suffered immensely due to delayed medical attention because they lacked health insurance or simply couldn't afford it. This is a reality for many Americans. According to a study by the American Journal of Public Health, nearly 45,000 annual deaths are associated with lack of health insurance (Wilper et al., 2009).

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was designed to combat this issue by making healthcare more accessible and affordable for all Americans. However, there is still work to be done in strengthening this crucial legislation. We must ensure that everyone has access to affordable care regardless of their income level or pre-existing conditions.
