We are not slowing down! The Change.org petition has blasted past 3,400 signatures and every single one means the absolute world to me. Thank you! 💛

But… plot twist. To make this “official” for council, I now have to start a new petition on their paper forms. Yep — paper. And not just a few sheets either… each page fits only five signatures. That’s over 600 pieces of A4 paper just to match the support we already have online. Outdated? Absolutely. Annoying? Oh yes. But will it stop us? Not. A. Chance.

I’m finalising the wording now and should have it ready to print by this afternoon. Here’s the plan to get these filled fast:

📄 Download & Print — I’ll share the form online so you can print as many pages as you like. Get your friends, family, neighbours, workmates, baristas, dog walkers, and random cousins to sign.

📍 Collection Points — I’ll set up drop-off spots and collection days (and if you’re really stuck, I can come to you).

🎒 School Gate — I’ll be at my local school collecting signatures, especially after parade. (You could do your own school?)

🛒 Local Shops — I’ll set up at the shops to spread the word and gather more names.

🖇️ Business involvement- this is a call out to any local businesses to have a petition clip board at their desk.

The beauty of this? The more pages you print, the more signatures we get. If everyone pitches in, we could blow past 3,000 signatures again — and then some. Just remember: sign once only and you must be a QLD resident.

This is where I’ll post the printable page, updates, and collection times. It’s also the best way to contact me — send me a message through the group or just PM me directly.

And don’t worry — the Change.org petition isn’t going anywhere. It’s still a huge help for spreading the word and getting media attention, so keep sharing it like mad!

We’re not giving up. Not now, not ever. I’m fired up for my upcoming meeting with Terry Young, and I’m hoping it gets even more things moving. There’s also a chance we’ll run extra petitions for state or federal matters (thankfully online ones!) — and I’ll keep you posted.

Narangba — this is our moment. Let’s make it count… and maybe give council a paper-cut or two while we’re at it. 😉
