Hi everyone!
Some exciting progress — our petition has been featured in the media!
You can read the article here:
Quick summary:
The article highlights the everyday frustration we face at the Narangba rail crossing — including the long delays, safety risks, and how this issue affects local families, workers, and commuters. It also shares how this petition started and what we’re fighting for: real, timely action.
We’re currently sitting at 2,648 signatures, which is incredible! But we’d love to hit 3,000 before my meeting with Councillors Tony Latter and Mark Booth on August 5th. That meeting is a key chance to show how strongly the community is backing this.
How You Can Help:
📸 Send Photos:
If you’ve ever snapped a photo of the traffic backlog or any accidents near the crossing, please send them my way. Visuals are powerful — and I never seem to remember when it is at its worst!
📰 Media Connections:
Do you know a journalist, blogger, radio host, or even a community group who’d be interested in covering this story? Please connect us. The more media attention we get, the harder this becomes to ignore.
📢 Replace the Signs:
Sadly, a few of the awareness signs we put up were removed. If you or someone you know can help print or display new signs — even just a few — please get in touch.
🔁 Keep Sharing:
We’re so close to our next milestone. Share the petition again on your socials, in your local Facebook groups, or just by word of mouth. Every signature helps.
Thank you all for being part of this — together, we’ve already made a huge impact, and I truly believe we’re just getting started.
