Guy Gabaldon's actions were not only brave but also carried out with an incredible commitment to preserving life. Instead of resorting to violence, he used his fluency in Japanese to communicate and negotiate surrenders, saving countless lives during one of the war's most brutal campaigns. Despite these remarkable deeds, Gabaldon's heroism has not been fully recognized with the highest military honor — the Medal of Honor.

The current decorations bestowed upon Gabaldon, commendable as they are, fail to acknowledge the full extent of his bravery and the impact of his actions on history.
