This is the email I received back from the city as well as my response and their response thus far. Looks like the work should be completed over the summer:

Hi Christina,

I am following up on our previous email conversation regarding the planned improvements to the traffic signal at 240 Street and Hill Avenue, near Albion Elementary School.

Based on feedback from residents, we conducted a traffic signal assessment following best practices from the Transportation Association of Canada. The results recommended removing the current stop signs on Hill Avenue and the school driveway and replacing them with full three-colour traffic signals to improve visibility and traffic flow.

To make this change, we are working closely with the School District to adjust the school driveway’s access at the intersection. We are currently in the design phase and expect to have more details on the feasibility and impacts of this modification over the next two months.

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process, and we will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

”Thank you for the update. We are looking forward to the improvements. Do you have an estimated date for the work? ”

Hi Christina,

Our goal is to complete this work over the summer. This timeline will be dependent on findings from the design work, supply of materials and coordination with SD42.

Thanks,
