I am a student at BCC High School and I have experienced firsthand the inconvenience of locked school restrooms. Many times throughout the day, my peers and I need to use the restroom but are unable to do so because they are locked. 

Further reading: Montgomery County Code part II chapter 44 Article III section 44-37(c) institutes regulations on the number of bathrooms provided in school facilities. Under these regulations, either a) at least 2 urinals and 1 toilet per 100 males, or b) at least 1 toilet per 35 males, must be provided. Additionally, at least 1 toilet per 45 females must be provided. Because all of the restrooms above the first floor are locked during lunch, the school falls far short of these requirements.
