In September 2019, Mario Kart Tour (MKT) launched, exciting longtime fans of the Mario Kart series with its mobile format. For me, it was a chance to relive the joy and excitement of racing alongside my father. We eagerly started playing together from day one. Sadly, my father has since passed away, leaving a void that made it difficult for me to continue playing the game alone. For two years, I couldn't bring myself to play, missing a significant part of what could have been a shared journey filled with memories and progress we might have achieved together.

Recently, I've returned to the game, finding solace in the nostalgia and dearly remembering our moments. However, the long hiatus cost me dearly in terms of progress. As a fan who’s emotionally invested in Mario Kart Tour, it is disheartening to find myself far behind other players who had the opportunity to continually advance during the time I stepped away.

This petition calls for Nintendo, the creators of Mario Kart Tour, to unlock all Drivers, Karts, and Gliders at max level for all users until the end of service. This gesture would level the playing field, allowing dedicated fans who may have had to step away for personal reasons, like myself, to compete equally once again.

Business-wise, end-of-service promotions are not uncommon and have been employed in various games as a goodwill gesture to foster community loyalty and ensure a memorable and enjoyable conclusion. This initiative would not only honor loyal fans but also revitalize interest, potentially attracting lapsed players back to the game for one last, all-out racing celebration.
