Andrew Iverson started this petition to University of Wisconsin-Madison and

As The University of Wisconsin-Madison returns to classes students are required to record 2 negative COVID-19 tests 3 days apart from each other to access university buildings. The new spit test being used in replacement of the nasal swab test and it is supposed to be a cost and time effective way to detect the COVID-19 virus, however, these test take more time to complete, many test come back inconclusive which means the individual will have to waste more time to re-test.

Last semester the common way to test was the nasal swab test. During this test individuals would get a swab and swab the inside of each nostril 4 times. This test would only take about 2 minutes and the test results would come back typical a day later. As more students are required to get tested these sites will slow up and waste students time. If the nasal swabs were to return to all testing locations individuals will be able to get tested in a quick and efficient manner while keeping the University of Wisconsin safe for a big COVID outbreak.

If you agree with me please sign the petition to create change at UW-Madison and make getting tested easier and more efficient.
