Give UW-Madison Students Wellness Days

The Issue

The University of Wisconsin-Madison took away spring break in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus through traveling home for this break.  Because of this, students will have absolutely no break at all from January 25th to May 8th.  That is 103 days of break free, and primarily online and asynchronous learning.  This is detrimental to the mental health of the students of the university.  Implementing wellness days in which the entire campus does not have class or homework assigned would be a much needed and deserved break for these hardworking students.  The three current built in days are on a Friday and Saturday's, which does essentially nothing for most students.  Nearly every Big10 school and universities surrounding UW-Madison have either implemented wellness days or still have their spring break.
