Hi everyone, 

Last week I met with the incoming chair (Chris Laws) of the UW Faculty Senate - the group of faculty that needs to vote on policy changes such as the one we are asking for. I am happy to share that Dr. Laws is hopeful about this policy change and that we are hoping to streamline the shift. Now I am waiting to hear back about the next meeting that will be set up between us, the registrar, and some other faculty leaders.  We are not sure if the change will be able to be made before the academic school year begins again or not, but progress is being made.


I will continue to keep everyone updated and, in the meantime, please keep sharing the petition!
