Dear supporter, Today we had two excellent bits of news. Firstly, exactly one week after we launched, we broke 2,500 signatures for the petition! Thank you to everyone who has signed, whether in the UK, Israel, America, Australia or India! Secondly, we can exclusively reveal that Caroline Nokes, Conservative MP for Southampton North, has backed the campaign! Here's her statement to the ZF: “While academic freedom is sacrosanct, it saddens me that Southampton University would potentially bring itself into disrepute by hosting such an apparently one-sided event. The presence of Richard Falk, whose previous statements stray beyond the limits of reasonable discussion, is of particular concern to me.” It's amazing that we've had so much support over the last week - so let's keep working to raise the pressure on Southampton Uni even more!
