Reinstate Detroit Center Connector Service

Reinstate Detroit Center Connector Service
The Issue
For nearly two years, the University of Michigan has funded and operated a free shuttle service between Ann Arbor and various points in Detroit, the UM Detroit Center Connector. The service allowed UM community members to more easily access Detroit for learning, service, and cultural events, as well as enabling UM community members and others in Detroit to more easily access Ann Arbor. After grant funding for the Connector expired, UM has announced plans to end the service on June 21, 2015.
Michigan's greatest university needs a convenient transportation connection to Michigan's greatest city. We urge President Schlissel to work with the Regional Transit Authority, A2D Rail Alliance, and other organizations to restore transit service between Ann Arbor and Detroit as soon as possible. (Please share your story of using the Connector below.)
