We are fed up with the illegal and egregious GEO3550 strike. GEO3550 is using Covid as a cover to hide a dangerous agenda inviting anarchy and has no place in collective bargaining. We support the UMich administration. Continue to SAY NO to GEO3550's demands to disarm, demilitarize, & defund the Division of Public Safety & Security (DPSS) and to cutting ties with Ann Arbor Police Department (AAPD). 

Students paid tuition to learn and live in a safe environment - protected by reliable authorities. Accepting GEOs reckless demands will leave all students and staff vulnerable and unsafe. We expect the same level of DPSS funding and police that was in place when students paid tuition and when GEO3550 members ratified contracts to work - NO less. If GEO3550 members cannot or choose not to meet the agreement ratified in April, 2020, they should resign.

Security is a primary concern on college campuses. If UMich meets GEO3550 demands, enrollment will plummet at UM. 

This strike has damaged the most important parties — our undergraduate students who need, deserve and have every right to expect their classes to meet and their education to continue. Students have lost instructional hours from this strike and tuition credit for lost instruction time and services while GEO3550 and others have been striking is warranted.
