We, as students at the University of Massachusetts, come from many walks of life. We live and work in active and diverse campus communities with our Lowell campus, seated within the diverse community of Lowell, Massachusetts, birthplace of the industrial revolution. 

Throughout our time here at the University, many of us have been taught, through many of our campus programs, how to accept others regardless of race, gender, religion, or other background. Donald Trump, throughout his campaign, has worked against these things. He has repeatedly shared his misogynist views, harsh racial views against Latin Americans, and has called to oppress peoples of Islamic faith. 

We, as the students of the finest educational system in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, are calling for UMass to disallow Donald J Trump's campaign from holding any events on our beloved campuses, currently concerning the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell.
