The Issue
During the week of July 21, 2014, University of Hawaiʻi (UH) at Mānoa's Chancellor Tom Apple received notice from the newly elected UH System President David Lassner that he would be "removed" from his position as Chancellor, according to Hawaii News Now. As students and community members of UH-Mānoa, we have seen the positive impact Chancellor Apple has had on the campus and the UHM community. This petition was created in support of Chancellor Apple. We, the members of the UHM community, want Tom Apple to remain as Chancellor of the UH-Mānoa campus.
