UCT deserves better: sign the call for Arendse to stand down

Dear supporters,
Our campaign to protect academic freedom at UCT rests on a simple principle: the university’s leadership must put teaching, research and students’ futures first.
Recent developments have deepened our concerns about Council’s leadership under Adv Norman Arendse SC. The publication and subsequent withdrawal of judges’ reports containing confidential information prompted Vice-Chancellor Professor Mosa Moshabela to acknowledge the harm caused to members of the university community.
We believe UCT needs Council leadership capable of restoring trust, protecting academic freedom and supporting international research collaboration. It is time for Arendse to stand down.
Please sign and share the new petition calling on UCT Council to invite Arendse to stand down :
Thank you for continuing to stand up for UCT’s future.
