We have received an excellent response from our campaign to vote BDS out of UCT. Thank you to all the UCT Alumni who have voted so far.
If you are a UCT Alumn, and you haven't yet voted, there is still time to make your mark! But time is running out.
REGISTRATION for voting ends on Wednesday at 14:00 pm. If you haven't done so, please follow the voting instructions below.
When you are done, please pass this message on to other UCT Alumni who can also vote on this issue.
CANDIDATES TO VOTE FOR:
We strongly suggest the following candidates who bring a mix of youth, experience, and principle to the UCT Council table:
- Moses Chiropa - Civil Engineer: Developmental Construction Expert
- Landa Mabenge - SA Mandela Washington Fellow, Award-Winning Author, Consultant
- Christopher L Vaughan - Bio-Medical Engineering Professor, Former Member of UCT Council
- Marlene Le Roux - Women and Child Rights Activist, CLR Commissioner, Arts and Culture Expert.
HOW TO VOTE:
Voting is currently open and will close at 16:00 SAST this Thurs, 21 May 2020. (registration closes tomorrow at 2pm so don't miss out)
- Members of Convocation may vote for up to four candidates.
- Go to the eBallot login page.
- Email notifications have been sent to those members of Convocation for whom the UCT Development and Alumni Department (DAD) has email addresses. If you do not have a registered email address with the DAD, please email convocationelection@uct.ac.za (opens in new tab) and request a username and password to participate in the electronic ballot. Once verified, you will receive a username, password (D.O.B), and voting instructions by email.
