We are launching a powerful initiative to promote positive cooperation between UCT and Weizmann Institute of Science. With your help, we can build bridges between South African and Israeli universities through engagement and academic collaboration.

There is an ongoing campaign at the university to boycott Israeli institutions. Academic freedom is under threat, and we need your support to save it.

The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, is one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary basic research institutions in the natural and exact sciences. Their researchers have received 6 Nobel laureates, as well as 3 Turing awards.

The Weizmann Institute has offered to host two deserving UCT science students on an invaluable 3-month research scholarship at the institution. They have further pledged to match our contribution, if we raise the required amount of funds.
