We’re bringing together people who care—advocates, professionals, Illinois leaders, and community members—for a powerful morning of connection and collaboration.
This event will bring together voices from child welfare, domestic violence, mental health, government, and more for a meaningful conversation about where systems fall short—and how we can come together to build more connected, healing-centered support for children and families impacted by the intergenerational cycle of trauma.
Why It Matters
Too often, children and families face systems that are disconnected, reactive, or even re-traumatizing. Braced for Impact is about doing things differently—breaking down silos, aligning our goals, and creating spaces where healing isn’t the exception—it’s the norm. For every child. In every system.
