Well, neighbors, here’s what we’ve achieved: The postmaster has agreed to conduct a special comprehensive review of all the mailboxes in Wells Branch. Starting this week, the mail carriers will report on the condition of all of the cluster and neighborhood box units (CBUs and NBUs, in the parlance). These reports will go the maintenance division, and each cluster that’s flagged will be: 1) cleaned and/or 2) repaired and/or 3) replaced They get pretty mealymouthed when talking about full replacement, so I can only be hopeful about that. Still, it's a partial victory, and I'll take it! Thanks to ALL of you who contributed reports, marked the map, signed the petition, and furnished pictures.
