Well, neighbors, I’ve joined the crowd and had my mailbox cluster broken into. They pried open the outgoing mail box. Cindy has not put our outgoing mail there for months. I told her I thought she was being paranoid. Therefore, I suspect her of staging the crime. Upon reflection, though, a more likely scenario is that I was wrong. BUT I’d like to report some progress! I now have been in touch with the man who installs mailboxes for the USPS in our area and the man who supplies mailboxes to the installer. I also got the name of the USPS official who can decide whether or not to install them! (Thanks neighbor!) I call these three men the Tripartition Commission. The USPS guy is Mr. Big. Turns out that mailbox installers and suppliers like it a lot when Mr. Big places a big order with them. So I am recruiting them as allies—hopefully, these two turncoats will help plead our case. My next step: finishing gathering information to present to Mr. Big. I have the petition, and its excellent comment section. I hope to have letters of support from the three HOAs and the MUD. Anyone else occur to you it would be good to get letters from. And if there’s anyway you could help make any of this happen, I’d appreciate it. Sic semper tyrannis!
