Let the Public Make The Choice: The Silverado Swimming Holes

The Issue

On March 20 through April 30, the USFS plans to remove the historic stone dams. They plan to use rock drills and explosives to accomplish this project. This confusing and unnecessary project threatens two beloved rock pools, known affectionately as the "swimming holes" by canyon residents. We demand that the USFS does with the two lower swimming holes as the Public wishes, as to conserve these local points of interest and the cultural heritage that has formed in and around them since their construction in the early 20th century.
