It's time for Congress to form a "9/11 Commission" to address Mass shooting violence.

The Issue

Over 1200 people have died in mass shootings in the U.S. since the 1966 Univ. of Texas shooting. That's ralmost 1/2 of the 2,977 that died on 9/11.

After September 11th, the 9/11 Commission was formed to investigate the failings of this country to protect its citizens on that day. It's time for a "1200 Commission" to be created to do the same. This commission should not be comprised solely of existing members of Congress. Nor should it be filled with NRA lackeys or people who want to ban all guns. It should be filled with sincere Americans who will look at all facets of the culture, regulations, mental health, and law enforcement issues to enact change. And it should be chaired by two men: George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Times up, Do-nothing Congress.
