The Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike was caught on tape inducing INEC election officials with monetary benefits and threatening those who refuse his offer with death.

The governor was clearly heard asking the INEC Electoral officers in Etche, Khana, Ikwerre and other LGAs to either compromise election results, return the bribe money he had already paid them or be killed.

For us, this is the height of Electoral rascality. We believe that this is an opportunity to address election violence in Rivers state in particular and Nigeria at large.

This petition is therefore aimed at getting the President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, the Security Agencies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Media, the International Community and other stakeholders into taking action to once and for all, END ELECTION VIOLENCE.
