This petition is to request from UN to stop the quarries in north Cyprus and declare the mountains of Pentadaktylos as a protected area.

According to the news report published in the Havadis newspaper, there are 40 quarries in north Cyprus covering a total area of 2 million 651 thousand square meters.

The quarries are destroying the Cyprus environment ,the unique flora and fona of the island,and the dust particles are endangering the human life on the island.
