Plastic is rapidly becoming the largest contaminant of foodstuffs worldwide. It is endemic in all parts of our life and has almost no natural decay. We are ALL affected. We need to eliminate all plastics. there are alternatives and they need to be used to replace a target of 75% of all plastic use over the next 10 years. Ambitious? Of course. But if we don't manage this then 3 billion (3,000,000,000) tons of plastic will have been wasted of which some 70 million tons will have ended up in the sea. Can we really afford this?
