United Kingdom Fulfill the 1900 Uganda Agreement

The Issue

Standing for the love of our motherland, as the grandchildren  of Uganda,we’re ready to fight for Uganda's autonomy. The 1900 Uganda Agreement was a pivotal moment in our history, promising the recognition and respect of our tribal lands and the boundaries and power of the Kabaka. It is time that these promises are honored, and the autonomy of Uganda is reinstated.

For too long, the aspirations of the Ugandan people and the responsibilities outlined in the 1900 Uganda Agreement have been overlooked. The British government must acknowledge its historical commitments and engage in a dialogue to restore self-governance to Uganda and allow us to manage our own affairs, lands, and resources.

The return of self-governance is not just about political recognition; it is about reclaiming a heritage that has been diminished over decades of external control. Our lands, our boundaries, and our cultural heritage are fundamental to our identity as a people. The powers of the Kabaka were generously outlined in the agreement, underscoring the importance of leadership that resonates with the values and traditions of our ancestors.

Restoration of Uganda's autonomy would empower our communities, allowing for prosperous development that adheres to our cultural values and societal structures, which are deeply rooted in our historical experiences. Self-governance is a pathway to sustaining peace, prosperity, and cultural identity in a rapidly modernizing world.

We therefore petition the UK government to revisit the 1900 Uganda Agreement and take steps towards fulfilling these agreements. The return to self-governance is vital for preserving our heritage and ensuring that the rights of Ugandans are prioritized. Join in supporting this cause to see a sovereign, culturally enriched, and empowered Uganda. I Sign this petition pinning the UK government to take immediate action.Fredrick muyomba
