The cinematic universe of DC Comics has a promising future, and we believe that the best way to capitalize on this potential is by uniting the gritty Gotham City created by Matt Reeves with a new universe being envisioned by James Gunn.

Yes Matt Reeves' depiction of Batman is grounded which is what we should expect Batman to be in a world full of Aliens, Meta-Humans and Demi Gods, This approach to Batman - a man living amongst gods and monsters - aligns perfectly with what fans expect from this character. We propose making "The Batman" the first film in the new DCU, similar to how "Iron Man" kickstarted Marvel's successful franchise. we aren’t demanding Matt Reeves connect his stories into the DCU to align each movie together but hope for him to continue developing articulate masterpieces.

That being said it just makes sense to have one cinematic Batman with one cinematic Superman, Its exhausting to even imagine that there will have to be another Batman casted with another Joker casted with another depiction of Gotham when the Batman that we currently have is pure cinematic gold, Matt Reeves Gotham is already insanely accurate and reminiscent of Tim Burton's iconic portrayal, it’s important to not have two of the same characters being portrayed at the same time which confuses audience’s, we should allow one Batman over the next 10 years that we should be able to watch grow and be able to grow with, Not making “The Batman” the first Movie of the DCU is not only stupid but a huge missed opportunity.
