“We’re advocating for a direct action that will let corporate-owned politicians know the jig is up by increasing the number of registered independents. We’re especially advocating for younger Americans age 18 to 34 to register to vote as their registration levels hover around 60% to 70%.
To participate in this action:
- Register to vote as an independent
- Or switch your party affiliation to Independent with your state board of elections.
- In 16 states this may affect your ability to vote in primaries. Check your state’s status here.
It’s time for our current so-called representatives to recognize that we far outnumber the old regime, not only in the streets but at the ballot box too. We’re taking this action to put them on notice that the people are shutting them down.

Real revolution is a process. This is yet another action we can collectively take to help force change.
By taking this action we will make it known that we intend to check receipts and will not vote for politicians that are beholden to big corporations, extractive industries, AIPAC, or genocidal apartheid regimes. Nor for any politician that’s currently voting to enable this corrupt white-supremacist regime’s destructive agenda.
The time of reckoning is coming for those that are beholden to the will of a single man instead of the will of the people.
We are rejecting our current federal leadership for their human rights violations, their support for ethnic cleansing (ICE/IOF), and their death-making decisions. We vow to hold them accountable, correct their misappropriation of our resources, and redirect our funds away from endless wars towards community care. In addition, we will restore the vital federal programs and agencies they’ve hobbled and re-hire the public servants they’ve dismissed.
To accomplish the societal changes we the people require to survive, we will reject this failed winner-take-all political system and unite to demand proportional representation for multi-party governance by coalition.”

Let’s use this action to begin holding our current federal leadership accountable. With a parliamentary democracy we can throw the electoral college in the trash and turn the presidency into a ceremonial head of state before the current administration does more irreparable damage.
