EU faccia pressione su Trump affinchè rispetti il Trattato sul Clima di Parigi!

Trump, il neo-eletto presidente degli Stati Uniti d'America, ha ripetutamente messo in dubbio l'esistenza del riscaldamento globale, negando che si tratti di una minaccia urgente alla sopravvivenza del pianeta. In campagna elettorale ha promesso di abolire i provvedimenti presi da Obama - come il Clean Power Act e di ritirare l'adesione degli Stati Uniti all'accordo di Parigi sul clima.
Nella squadra che gestirà la transizione alla Casa Bianca, Trump ha nominato Myron Ebell, un lobbista noto per le sue posizioni negazioniste sui cambiamenti climatici. Ebell dirige il Center for Energy and Environment, un think-tank finanziato tra gli altri dal gigante dell'industria petrolifera ExxonMobil e dalla fondazione dei fratelli Koch.
Il pianeta terra è uno, ed è nostro dovere proteggerlo. Non possiamo accettare che l'egoismo di Trump, dei suoi elettori e le teorie negazioniste dei personaggi nella sua squadra influenzino il delicato processo di salvaguardia dell'ambiente rappresentato sopratutto dal Trattato di Pargi.
Chiedamo quindi all'Unione Europea ed ai singoli stati membri di fare pressione affinchè gli USA rispettino il Trattato sul Clima di Parigi.

Pressure Trump to Respect the Paris Climate Treaty!
Trump, the United States president-elect, has repeatedly doubted the existence of global warming, denying that it's an urgent threat to the planet’s survival. During his election campaign, he promised to abolish measures taken by President Obama, like the Clean Power Act, and to withdraw U.S. participation from the Paris Climate Agreement.
Trump has nominated Myron Ebell, a lobbyist noted for his opposition to climate change, to the team that will manage his administration’s transition into the While House. Ebell directs the Center for Energy and Environment, a think-tank funded by, among others, the oil industry giant Exxon Mobil and the Koch Brothers Foundation.
There is only one planet Earth, and it is our duty to protect it. We cannot accept the selfishness of Trump, of his voters, and of the beliefs of his team members that affect the delicate process of protecting our environment, represented, above all, by the Treaty of Paris.
So, we ask that the European Union and all its members put pressure on the U.S. to respect the Paris Climate Treaty.
