What's more British than a cup of tea? Exactly!

We have one for sweet potato. We have two for camel. We even have one for ‘love hotel’. But have you noticed that there’s no emoji to represent that most British of pastimes - the humble cuppa?

We spoke to people up and down the country and it seems they feel our pain - that little coffee cup isn’t doing it for us!

That’s why this Afternoon Tea Week we’re launching our ‘Teamoji’ campaign to urge Unicode to include the cup of tea on the standard emoji keyboard in its next update. We’d love it if you could sign this and share it with your tea-loving friends!
