On Tuesday BBC film crews spent the afternoon filming and interviewing at The Chester Amphitheatre, gauging the public's reaction to the news that Cheshire West & Chester Council (CWAC) are proposing to sign a 150 year lease with developers, on the land above Britain's biggest Roman Amphitheatre, situated right here in Chester. Whilst over 5,000 (now 5,700) people have signed this petition calling on CWAC & English Heritage to de-list and demolish the abandoned Dee House, above and finally uncover Britain's Biggest Roman Amphitheatre, with a view to attracting millions more tourists to the city over the next 150 years instead.
