I firmly believe that XL Bully dogs are being unjustly demonised and banned due to the actions of irresponsible owners. I am not alone in my belief; thousands of others agree that it is not the dog itself that poses a danger, but rather the hands in which it is placed. These beautiful animals deserve love, care, and an opportunity to live peacefully without the fear of being euthanised due to prejudices against their size and breed.

Consider this: if an XL Bully gets banned, what about the small terriers, Pomeranians, and Chihuahuas that are known to bite more frequently? It is inconsistent to target one breed while overlooking others based on size rather than behaviour. It all boils down to responsible ownership. Right now, owners who lack the skills necessary to properly control and care for such strong animals are the primary reasons for issues arising, not the dogs themselves.

Instead of punishing the dogs, I propose a solution: mandatory training courses for all potential XL Bully owners. This will ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to handle these dogs responsibly. Such courses could cover training techniques, behavioural understanding, and responsible ownership practices.

By doing so, we can create a safer environment where both humans and XL Bully dogs coexist harmoniously. Dogs should not pay the ultimate price for human irresponsibility and misjudgement. We need to unban these dogs and instead focus on educating owners, thus providing a happier life for both pets and their owners.
