The Issue

We respectfully ask the New York Yankees to reconsider the lifetime ban of fan KP Watershed (Neon Shirt Guy), now that eight years have passed.

Background
In the 2010s, KP was often seen at Yankee Stadium wearing bright neon shirts with custom messages for each game.

In 2018, KP violated stadium rules by repeatedly moving into a restricted seating area. As a result, he was issued a lifetime ban from Yankee Stadium. He accepts responsibility for those actions.

Since 2018, KP has fully respected the ban. He has continued to support the Yankees as a diehard fan, attending road games in other cities and reflecting on his past behavior.

KP hopes to return to Yankee Stadium in a respectful and appropriate way, as a legitimate ticket holder, and he is willing to comply with any reinstatement process the organization may require.

This petition is not about excusing past behavior. It is about recognizing the possibility of growth, accountability, and second chances after a meaningful period of time.

We respectfully ask the New York Yankees to consider:

  • Reviewing KP’s case given his extended compliance with the ban
  • Allowing a pathway, if appropriate, for reinstatement under conditions set by the organization

We understand that any decision rests entirely with the Yankees, and we respect the importance of maintaining stadium policies and fan safety.

Yankee Stadium holds deep meaning for many fans. This is a request to consider whether enough time has passed to allow for a second chance for KP.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
