In a sorts this victory is still pending because of the claims of illegality still being made of the duly appointed government by the side claiming their false victory who are now in opposition. I officially close of this petition...one of many started by ordinary people who needed a voice to share their opinions and disgust at the highjacking of a free and fair election in 2020 and who never thought they would be witness to events that were only ever memories of the parents or grandparents!! For most others, including small party oppositions and prior members of the coalition who have now left PNCR+AFC, the result declared on 2nd August 2020 by GECOM stands as 100% a reflection of the will of the people and gives PPPC a two seat majority over their main opposition!! Finally I can close off this petition and share the 15,710 people that signed (viewing and sharing over 100,000 times) It started off at a rant at democratic process and taught alot of us how government is working (badly) and to stand up...we must adapt now!! The declaration and appointment of Dr Irfaan Ali and PM Mark Philips are leading a strong team who must realise now that politics is changing with technology and all aspects of their actions must be for the betterment of all Guyanese without fear or favour!! Here’s to a brighter future where all will be on their toes knowing they are being watched and the governance process is much better understood by the masses.
