Thank you for your contact and we note the views that you have expressed.
Whilst we work closely with our key partners to ensure the Royal Parks are open to all, the Metropolitan Police Service are operationally independent.
I note that your correspondence relates to Royal Parks Policy. As the Metropolitan Police we enforce The Royal Parks and Other Open Spaces Regulations 1997, we do not police policy.
We also provide a uniformed presence at Speakers Corner in Hyde Park each Sunday to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all park users.
Guided by the code of ethics and supported by the National Decision Model we focus on supporting the current crime and policing plan for London which has three key priorities;
Keeping children and young people safe.
Tackling violence against women and girls.
Standing together against hatred, intolerance and extremism.
Keeping London safe can be demanding and complex, with increasing numbers of crimes and incidents involving vulnerable people and high risk of harm.
Your sincerely,
MPV Ana Mocanu
