I came across a video on YouTube. See attached. The lady in this video witnessed praying in the park. She approached the police and asked him if he realises praying is against park rules. He said it wasn't, and that they had been given a specific place to pray that doesn't block the path. The lady goes on in the video after being surrounded by lots of men opposing what she is saying. She does go on to show them the rules in the police officers own regulations book. The men surrouning her become rude and aggressive towards her. The police officer to my amazement then replies I'm not going to read that? His own regulation book he is supposed to enforce. If the police can't enforce the rules and the law, what do we need them for? Why have rules and laws if they do not apply to everyone?? He also goes on to say laws are discretionary as to weather they take action? That is not a police service I believe in. Police should be enforcing the law and no special place should be given if it goes against laws and rules that are in place, no matter of the belief, colour, race, religion or ethnicity of the person. RULES ARE RULES, LAWS ARE LAWS AND NEED TO BE FOLLOWED BY EVERYONE. Please take the time to watch the video and if you agree please sign and share. If you have already signed thank you please remember to share. Speakers corner and the royal parks are a part of our history and beginning of freedom of speech. It has never been a ground for prayers or religious practices to anybody and it needs to be kept that way. SHARE SHARE SHARE :)
