There have increasing incidences of fires on heathland and in woodlands caused by the irresponsible use of disposable barbecues. Precious habitat and rare species are being harmed, multiple firefighters  are deployed from across counties risking their lives and wasting time and resources. Some of these fires have been close to homes and businesses and caused damage to power lines, not to mention the litter on beaches from these unnecessary items. Every season this is happening repeatedly throughout the country and with the climate prediction of drier summers the risk increases. Water wasted on putting out fires during a drought, air pollution, road closures, disruption, danger to nature, human life and property. It’s time to stop this now before someone dies. Lets ban disposable barbecues now!
