On Friday the 26th of June the UKs Financial Conduct Authority brought in measures designed to protect consumers shutting down Wirecard entirely and leaving 1.2 million people, many vulnerable, without access to much needed funding.

This has left many of the UKs most vulnerable people, including those who cannot get access to bank accounts and those in receipt of government financial aid entirely unable to feed themselves, pay rent and access medication and transport.

As a result many will starve, be threatened with homelessness and many other adverse affects in the near future..

We the undersigned are asking for the immediate reinstatement of access to funding for the consumers affected, to protect the interests of consumers and vulnerable people greatly and adversely affected by the measures implemented without warning to customers and with no regard for their safety or livelihoods.

We are asking for immediate government action to aid prepaid cards in to reopening in the extremely near future. To aid their transitions away from MasterCard, and to help their customers first and foremost.

The priority must be the vulnerable and not business at this time.
