No one would disagree with the need to keep unfit people out of services for children but the application of a secretive processes that risk unfairly removing qualified, experienced, and often long-serving caregivers from the children's workforce is unjust. 

Disqualified July 2019 after 20 years service... "I’m sorry I’ve not returned your calls, I’m just really struggling at the moment.Not quite sure what, if anything is wrong with me but I’m struggling to speak with anyone, friends and family included."

The issue of a person failing the fit person procedure, meaning disqualification from childcare practice, has affected many providers and individuals. 

We believe this is a fundamental breach of the Human Rights Act 1998 as it removes the right to a fair trial and the correct route to establish removal from the sector must be through the DBS, not through secretive Ofsted meetings where information is unchallenged and records are not shared.  

Please help bring an end to the unfair disqualification of caregivers and the harm caused by this to individuals, service providers and children looked after by the state by SIGNING and SHARING this petition and SHARING it again and again to uphold the RIGHT TO PROTECTION FROM UNFAIR PROCESSES for all.
