No parent should have to be the one to send out a public health warning such as this - and this Mummy was one of the lucky ones- she got there in time, her baby is fine.

I just cannot understand why anyone or any business with even an ounce of conscience would chose to design, manufacture or sell baby nests/pods/cot bumpers/hammocks or indeed any baby “sleep positioner” or “sleep aid” which has even the slightest risk of causing harm or death. 

To me, it isn’t just immoral, but downright criminal, to prey on new parents or parents to be with unfounded claims of product safety and/or “guaranteed” sleep.

The Lullaby Trust does NOT recommend any of these products; they are known contributors to SIDS and yet the huge high street names that we should be able to trust still stock and sell them. At the very least, please please please let’s campaign for the likes of Mamas & Papas and Amazon and  to commit to removing these death traps from their shelves, for good.
