13 away from the 1000 mark. Thank you so much to everyone who has signed, both the Welsh speakers and more so the non Welsh speakers who are supporting our right to be counted.
If we want to change things we need to show the ONS and Westminster that we are serious in our demand to be heard and registered on the Census. 1000 is great, but we need to keep the momentum going and gather more and more signatures. we also need to start attending the constituency surgeries of our MPs before the summer recess [if only all jobs came with that attached] and also after it so they do not think it was a fleeting thing that will have died out after the summer.
Those of you who live in the UK outside of Wales, please please get everyone you know to sign up. There has got to be more than 1000 Welsh speakers/learners spread across the countries. the more voices we have the less they are going to be able to ignore us.
If we want to take this to the next level we could use this site:
https://www.postbug.com/#/homepage
where actual physical letters are sent to prominent people/organisations. anyone think this is a good idea? let me know.
once again diolch o'r calon pawb
Despite the death blow i have received regarding my own continued learning of what by rights should have been my first language, this is still a very important issue to me.
